2 wonderful years and many more to come :)

Was clearing Gabes luggage bag 2 days ago after his trip back form Bangkok and it suddenly crossed my mind so I stopped and immediately turned to him and said "oh my goodness, our 2 years anniversary was 2 days AGO!". We have both been so busy that weekend that we totally forgot about it. Lucky for him, I've forgotten about it as well... Hah.

It's been a 2 wonderful years together. We've both learned so much from each other and ABOUT each other. We've loved, argued, make peace, argue again, yada yada yada but it's been all good. I look forward to the many more years to come and our commitment to love and cherish one another till death do us part *HEH*

So I shall leave you all with some pics of us of the great times that we've had together and we're both looking forward to see YOU at our big day this Dec. For those who've helped in many ways, thank you. We love you guys dearly :)

5 more months and counting

Ok...I guess it has finally hit me that I'm getting married in 5 months time! One word...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. *faints*
And its become a norm that when I meet up with frens, the "how's the preparation" question never seems to end. And to be honest with you, I really don't know if I've done enough considering I have about only 5 more months to go. 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5. *faints* I'm starting to freak out but I dunno what I'm freaking out about. Getting married or the whole big preparation towards the big day. Justine gave me this wedding planner as an engagement present 5 months back and there are guidelines of what is needed to be done month by month leading up to THE day. I think I can safely say that most of it we've managed to follow and that the bigger part of the preparation is almost done.

1. Renovation of the "love birds" nest is done! What's left to do is building the cabinet, buy some nice curtains for the room (although gabe insist that there's nothing wrong with the current one. I shall blog the pic one day... it's "bluek" )
2. We've hired the band for that day.

3. Got Ming to be in charge of the church deco (thanks Ming, we love you :) )
4. Booked the wedding car with a fren :) Thanks to Chi Eng and Clement for offering. And it comes with a driver too. Who would be a better driver for that big day other then Mr Teh himself.
5. Taken our pre-wedding shots, booked the dresses for the big day.
6. Gotten the cards from the hotel. What's left is to send them to the printer for printing.
7.Hired the photographer and videographer for that day

What's left to do:
1. Finalize the guestlist again. The list never seems to end. (one of our biggest headache)
2. Buy our wedding band.
3. Finalize the decoration details.
4. Book a caterer for the wedding ceremony.
5. Food tasting in the hotel.
6. Find an emcee
7. .........GET MARRIED!


But the best part of all these is that we've realized that we have so many good friends around us that are more than willing to help out in one way or another. Thank you guys we truly appreciate your sincerity to help.

That's done...more to do.

So the photoshoot that we've been anticipating for is finally over. Wasn't that bad after all. Lot of the poses which I thought I would never do I did hah! More importantly is that we had fun! There were suppose to be 5 costumes for the indoor shoot but we decided to scrap off the Japanese costumes cause we figured we don't really want/need/like the idea or even how the pic will turn out to be.
Hair and make up took up the longest time. Poor Gabe was a lil bored so he had to kill his time reading through magazines and magazines. Went through 5 costumes and many m
any poses. We always almost burst into laughter when the photographer goes " look each other, look each other, smile some more smile some more" but of cause we didn't coz that would appear to be rude.
So by the time we were done with indoor it was 4 in the noon! By the time we reached our outdoor destination, it was about 430. We went to the Peranakan Baba Nyonya house at church street. Interesting place I would say and thanks to Gabes mom who knows the owner, we didn't have to pay RM 50 to use that place for the photoshoot. Was there for an hour, absolutely love the setting of the place. Hope
fully the pics will turn out well. *fingers crossed*. Once we were done, headed to Gabe parents antique shop in Penang road. We figured we wanted some shots there for memory sake. Turns out, the photographer likes the place although it's a lil' too narrow and limited space to take a nice shot but I'm sure he did a good job with whatever space he had. By the time we were done, we headed to our lastttt destination, the beach behind paradise. We were both dead tired by then but still had to pinch ourselves to stay awake and smillleeee. Kept reminding ourselves that these shoot is the most expensive part of our wedding package, so die die also must make it worth. And because it was the beach, and our last few shots, we went allll out. So that's when all the jumping, running, carrying took place hahahahaha and I would alllways laugh at ppl doing those kinda things.......
It was a indeed a tiring but yes fun and full of memories. I don't think I regret a single bit doing it. Can't wait to go select the pics in a week time! wheee. Meantime here are so
me "illegal" shots. At Gabes parents shop :) While waiting for the photographer.... after a whole day shoot. (Because of the make up, I think Gabes look a lil like some guy from a Chinese boy band. kakaka. My very own F4! hah! )

We're late

Ok...so this blog is a lil' too late. Have been contemplating whether to start a blog since my very own blog(euniceo.tabulas) died many months back. But everyone has been telling me to start one just for the wedding. (or rather to journal down every single event or preparation towards our big day) for memory sake.

So where should we start?:) As most of you all would have already know, Mr Ch'ng proposed last Dec when we were in KL for my work/holiday trip on the Eye on Malaysia :) Was I taken by surprise? Yes and no. I think as much as a girl can guess that it's going to happen, still when it does, it's still as exciting. Okay, so this was many months back. We've done a quite a few things for the big day like getting a hotel to throw our dinner reception, book the church for the morning ceremony, booked the bridal house, started our marriage counseling sessions with Uncle Heok Hooi and Aunty Phaik Lean etc.

There are a few more things to be done like, printing of our invitation card, confirming the guest list once again ( that alone is a BIG headache).

But more excitingly, we will be taking our pre- wedding shots. Excited but yet I'm dreading having to sit on the chair for hours to get my hair and make up done. On my own, I got my nails done!:) Its really pretty, my first time doing a manicure HAH! Pray for a good weather! I'll update more on the shoot very soon!
